The Island Tour will keep you captivated all day thanks to its unique combination of road, sea and rail travel, perfectly balanced with free time at each stop. You’ll journey along the spectacular west coast of Mallorca, enjoying some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean, while discovering the UNESCO-protected Serra de Tramuntana with commentary from our knowledgeable guide.
Once everyone has been picked up by coach, the tour heads into the heart of the Tramuntana Mountains, following one of the island’s most scenic and photographed mountain roads towards Sa Calobra. Along the way, you’ll enjoy unforgettable panoramic views and plenty of opportunities for photos.
On arrival at Sa Calobra, you’ll have free time to relax and explore this extraordinary natural setting. We always aim to arrive early, allowing you to experience Sa Calobra at its most peaceful and unspoilt, before other groups arrive. This gives you the chance to explore the impressive Torrent de Pareis gorge at a relaxed pace.
Afterwards, we continue the adventure by boat, sailing from Sa Calobra to Puerto de Sóller on a journey of around 40 minutes. From the sea, you’ll admire dramatic cliffs and coastal scenery that simply cannot be seen from land.
In Puerto de Sóller, you’ll enjoy free time for lunch and relaxation. Whether you choose a seaside restaurant recommended by the guide or explore on your own, this stop offers the perfect break in a stunning natural harbour.
In the afternoon, we board the historic Sóller tram, travelling along the seafront and through orange and lemon groves to the town of Sóller. Here, you’ll have time for a short stroll through its charming historic centre before boarding the famous wooden Sóller train.
The final stage of the tour takes you by vintage train through the beautiful Sóller Valley, passing through mountain tunnels and countryside landscapes on a route that has remained almost unchanged for over 100 years. On arrival near Palma, your coach will be waiting to take you comfortably back to your resort.
Island tour reviews
This was undoubtedly one of the best holiday excursions we have ever been on. From the start the day ran like clockwork and Martha the tour guide struck an ideal balance of providing information about the trip and the island. The time in Sa Colabra was just enough to walk to the end of the gorge and back before boarding the ferry. It was lovely to see the island from the sea. Port De Soller was idyllic and the antique tram was charming. Our group was even given our own carriage so we all got seats. The tram ride got us to Soller where we had an hour to explore before boarding the wooden train to the stop near Palma where the coach was waiting to pick us up. We were back by 6pm after a tiring but amazing and enjoyable day. The other point of note is that without booking the excursion this trip is not possible via the local busses.
This was a fantastic tour! Martha was a wonderful host and had some lovely insight into the Island. We had thought about doing the tram and train independently but we were so glad we didn’t - no queues or hassle. I’m also glad we let the driver take us around the bends in the mountains. Perfect trip for us and our 9 year boy.
This was a very good trip. Melanie and Jesus were very good hosts. Melanie kept everyone on time with clear instructions and good humour. Her tip to eat at the Marysol restaurant in Port de Soller was perfect for us. We had been to all the locations before so for us it was good. Maybe the time in Soller could have been longer, only 30 mins. We understand the timing needed to fit with the tram and train timetable. .
We went on the island tour on 10th March, and saw some incredible sights. Both driver and guide looked after us well. Un dia perfecto!
Best way to see Mallorca in one day. Highly recommended.
We booked the Island Tour with NoFrills Excursions and felt looked after all day. Clear information, friendly guide and smooth logistics throughout.
The Island Tour was the highlight of our holiday in Mallorca. Everything was perfectly organised, from the early pick-up to the different transport connections. Sa Calobra was stunning, the boat ride unforgettable and the vintage train through Sóller valley was magical. A long day, but incredibly well paced and absolutely worth it.
Three generation family of five enjoyed an amazing nine hour trip around the North of the island. Extremely well organised with great communication. We travelled by coach, boat, tram and train and loved every minute. Very good value for money. Highly recommend.
Ik vond het een super dag! Gids Marta vertelde heel boeiend en de chauffeur reed erg voorzichtig. Ik heb genoten van de tocht, heel goed gedaan! Zoveel moois gezien, top! Y muchas gracias!
A great day out.
